About

Patty's Barn is a collection of ten self-catering cottages and two A-framed cabins, nestled on the edge of Morecambe Bay, just south of historic Lancaster.

Originally a dairy farm, we’ve transformed two agricultural barns into self catering accommodations full of character, preserving original beams and stonework.

Situated directly on the sea wall overlooking the salt marshes, our location offers unspoiled natural beauty and the perfect spot for a rural coastal retreat. With the great outdoors on your doorstep, you can reconnect with nature while enjoying fresh air, a warm northern welcome, and the ever changing seasons.

Our site is also available for retreats, corporate events, and group gatherings with two group spaces available to hire onsite and plenty of outdoor spaces to explore.

our location

Patty's Barn is set in a truly unique location where the land meets the sea. The Salt Marshes are listed as a Special Area of Conservation and a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and our accommodation is located directly on the sea wall which takes you off along the King Charles III coastal pathway where you can enjoy the vast views of the salt marshes and the lashings of mud and sand flats that are unique to the Morecambe Bay area.

come and stay with us

This is me, Michelle, and my sister Rachel who run Patty's Barn following in our parents, Chris and Margaret's footsteps who have paved the way for us. We're very much a small family business, we work with a local team and support local workers, tradesmen and use local suppliers where we can. We really put our heart and soul into what we do here and hope you enjoy your stay with us at Patty's Barn!
