Patty's Barn is a family-friendly, community-focused business. We love our local area and take pride in everything we do, from conserving our natural environment, quality of service and cleanliness of our cottages. A 4th generation family business, originally a dairy farm, we’ve diversified over the years by renovating two agricultural barns into 10 self-catering cottages on the coastline of Morecambe Bay

You can expect fresh air, wildlife and a warm northern welcome. We want you to come and get into nature, explore, be free, let your kids be kids, connect and spend quality time with the ones you love in the great outdoors.
OUR JOURNEY
In 2010 we renovated an old shabby barn into 6 stone cottages. We restored as much as we could save to capture the character of the barn, including the stone, the beams and the shape and design of the original building. The result has been what you see today.

2013 came and we took on our next challenge, converting barn number 2, also known as Cobblestone Barn into 4 cottages. Similarly to Patty's Barn, we have used only local materials and suppliers and have ensured the cottages are full of character and original design.
We love our local area and take pride in what we’ve created, from the renovation of the cottages to planting trees and establishing new woodlands and areas of conservation to encourage habitat for our local wildlife and ecosystems.
OUR VISION
We want to continue building a community of loyal and diverse travellers who are looking to experience the Great British Countryside and rural Britain at its best.
We hope that all our guests enjoy the beauty in the changing landscape throughout all of the seasons and the and new life and change that comes with that.

With the uncertainty of British Farming over the years we have diversified in order to strive for a sustainable future. From the development of Patty's Barn to producing renewable energy by anaerobic digestion at Cockerham Green Energy, and our onsite carp and fly fisherie, Cockerham Quarry Fishing.
