Manor Inn (left)
Located within 40 - 50 mins walk of Patty's Barn and situated in the village of Cockerham, Stuart and Doreen serve home cooked food and beer at reasonable prices.

Thurnham Hall (right)
Thurnham Hall is a 12th Century country house with a beautiful Jacobean Hall and is just 5 minutes away from Patty's Barn.

Stork Hotel (right)
Situated just 2.5 miles from Patty's Barn the Stork is a busy traditional pub providing good meals and beer. Conder Green, Lanacaster, LA2 0AN. Tel 01524 751234.
Families are welcomed, and the pub has a good reputation with the locals.
Thurnham Mill (left)
Thurnham Mill is a Mitchell's Hotel and has just been refurbished.
Great for children and eating outside, it is right by the canal, great for taking a walk.

The Priory
Great place at the edge of the Forest of Bowland, near Garstang. Good for walkers and cyclists.

The Barn
A favorite place for a fresh scone and good food. They have a gift shop, plant centre and a garden to look around. Well worth a visit.

Fleece Hotel
The Fleece is situated in Dolphinhome, approximately 4 miles from Patty's Barn, and is probably the busiest local pub at present. It has just been completely refurbished and provides good meals at reasonable prices. The Landlord usually stocks two or three guest beers at any given time.

The Inn at Whitewell
This is a lovely ride out through the Trough of Bowland and is a favourite of mine.

In the Ribble Valley there are loads of fine hostelries and tea-rooms - such as Angels Restaurant, The Carmen Rose (tea-room), Huntley's of Samlesbury (postcode PR5 0UN - tearoom/restaurant and a whole lot more), Bashall Barn Food Visitor Centre, Parkers Arms Inn, Samlesbury Hall, The Longridge Restaurant, The Red Pump Inn and Northcote.
