Blackpool has been a popular tourist site for years. If you like the traditional seaside towns, then Blackpool is a 30 minute drive. you can view the illuminations at certain times of the year, take in a show, visit the Pleasure Beach, buy REAL fish & chips, go swimming in the Irish Sea, climb the tower, watch a circus, or even take a pleasure flight over the area! Visit the sites above for further details of what the resort has to offer.
Williamson Park in Lancaster offers some nice walks, with views across to the hills of the Lake District, and activities for children. In addition to the walks, there is a butterfly house and a small cafe at the park.
Leighton Moss (RSPB) & Martin Mere (WWT) reserves are both easily accessible from Patty's Farm Barn. These sites are a must for ornathologists. Details and directions can be found on the sites above. |
