Ashton Hall Garden Centre is well worth a visit. Obviouisly great fro plants but they also have a really nice cafe! Tel 01524 751767.

Garstang Market - the traditional weekly outdoor market is held every Thursday and the Local Produce Market is held on the first Tuesday of every month.
Clitheroe is only 26 miles away via the B6478. This takes you through the lovely Forest of Bowland. If you are a wine drinker (or tea or coffee, come to that) then visit D. Byrne & Co. You will be pleased you did!

Kirkby Lonsdale is our favourite place with lots of different shops. It is only 28 miles away up the M6 to junction 36.

Kendal is 30 miles up the M6 to junction 36 but then take the A590 dual carriageway to Kendal..

On the way to Ingleton Falls you ought to stop off at Country Harvest. This is a good place to get anything a bit different with over 100 cheeses on sale. Up the M6 to junction 34 then take the A683, the A687 to Burton in Lonsdale. Continue to the A65 and there you are! It is just a mile from Ingleton.

Free Port at Fleetwood is a good day out. As is a visit to Barton Grange. Take a look at Arnside and Silverdale. Then there are the twin towns of Lytham and St. Annes. There is city shopping in Preston but If it's style and sophistication you're after then look no further than Lord Street Southport. Just down the coast from Southport we venture into Liverpool. They have just built a new shopping centre area and the city has lot's of history. Going inland, you might want to take the M6/M61 down to Manchester.
